Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on Monday that Turkey is continuing its efforts to bring the presidents of Russia and Ukraine closer to start diplomatic talks on ending the war in Ukraine.
He said this at a press conference in Tokyo, reports "European Truth" with reference to Daily Sabah.
"There is no winner in war. Ending this war will most likely require a return to the negotiating table as soon as both sides realize this. There must be a just peace, especially for Ukraine. The occupied territories are the territory of Ukraine," Cavusoglu said.
He added that "leaders who want the war to continue must also be convinced."
"We, as Turkey, do not lose hope, we will continue our efforts. Our president will continue contacts with Putin and Zelensky to bring the two leaders together to ensure that decisions are made at the leadership level. The whole world is paying the price of war," Çavuşoğlu added.
PS I just don't understand how to convince the "leader" of fascist Russia? Already in 1939, they tried to convince Hitler of something, if someone doesn't remember what it ended up being, then maybe some of the history textbooks in the closet smoked the school one!!! Such a proposal is a stupid attempt to force people to step on the same rake...
